“Stupid…Dumb”, and all that.
Obviously, we can’t attribute to Twitter any noble motives, in selectively banning Caitlin.
But deterrents against calling people stupid, aren’t a bad thing in themselves.
When the history of this era is written, and it’s decided that Caitlin made a difference, I would hate for her writing legacy to be sprinkled with name-calling.
The personal attacks encourage a tribalistic me-smarter-than-you mentality. And I think it works against any momentum we might have, of moving towards an awakening collaborative populace.
