Joanie Laurer — you aren’t forgotten

There might not be a lot of talk about you, outside of Pro Wrestling circles. But many others haven’t forgotten the tragedy of your life, sweetie.

The System used you and spit you out. Not for profit, but because you were an inconvenience to the boss’s daughter, who was having an affair with your loved one.

Even with demonstrably more important tragedies like Human Extinction on the horizon, I refuse to forget you. Nor will I stop loving you.

You were a lost soul. But you nudged other souls into an awareness of how cruel we can be, how blind to the suffering of our fallen idols.

Thank you for being who you are, Joanie. You will be remembered, that’s a promise.
