I’ll agree with a re-phrasing of Schwarzman’s spiteful retort:

People like Sanders and Gabbard and Corbyn shouldn’t HAVE to exist. They wouldn’t be necessary, in a system that factors in externalities like the effects of Climate Change, or the inevitable psychological & economic byproducts of a competitive profit mentality.

Schwarzman et al can get rid of Sanders without bloodshed, even without vindictive rhetoric. The billionaire class is perfectly capable of making Sanders go away, by making him unnecessary.

But, as they like to keep preaching to the rest of us, they can’t have it for free. There’s a cost involved. So far, they haven’t been willing to pay the price that would get Nader or Sanders or Johnstone out of their hair forever.
