#9 is the big one, for me. I’ve always believed that the undercurrents would rescue us from ourselves, because as soon as we get consciously involved, some of us reflexively try to integrate the Profit Incentive into the mix.

The big event I looked forward to, was the advent of autonomous vehicles. Aside from the decrease in fatalities, it should also lead to a higher relaxation level, for the population at large. That’s all we need — for enough of us to take a step back, to be able to look at things in alternative ways, without attacking the messenger. All we need, to see past our Programming, is a momentary perspective change. From there, it’s all over.

If that Relaxation Response hits us like a Pandemic because of working from home in a supportive stress-free environment, then the driverless cars won’t be needed as badly ; we can take our time with the algorithms, and work out the kinks.

But whatever it takes to calm our asses down, we do need it soon. I just hope that it doesn’t cost us billions of deaths.
